OSX and Linux version

Cross-platform software is pretty common these days, and this would be especially helpful since so many developers these days use OSX.

I live in San Francisco and work as a web developer and everyone I know uses OSX (with a few Linux users).

I want to see this software become widely-used as it fills a critical need.

We have managed to run it on Linux using Wine. We need to perform proper tests before releasing this solution and that will take time. We will also try it on Mac but running it might require some configuration.

Hi Ben, thanks for your feedback. We love to hear that you'd like that widely used. We'll investigate options for availabilty on OSX and Linux - we would like to support those platforms in the future.

We used DevExpress WinForms components and first analysis suggests it's impossible to run it with Mono. Wine might be a way to go. We'll work on it

See http://stackoverflow.com/questions/16254547/should-i-rewrite-gui-with-gtk-instead-of-winforms-for-mono for some tips on using Mono in a cross-platform manner.

Sounds difficult. Might be easier to rewrite using Qt or Java if you really need to cross this bridge at some point.

Note: I contacted Dataedo about this. Unforunately, the product is written in C#, but the Mono project might be worth exploring, and it appears to have support Windows Forms http://www.mono-project.com/docs/about-mono/supported-platforms/osx/#windowsforms
